Video Production


Joan Holman has been involved in a number of video and television production projects and has also worked with Hollywood production companies, helping them with location scouting and filming in Minnesota. 


As Director of Tourism for the city of Minneapolis and one of the initial people involved in the early development of the Minneapolis Film Board, Joan was instrumental in making Minnesota a popular location for feature film production. 


Other video projects include a video program Joan has produced  include a program on economics and finance in cooperation with the Los-Angeles based nonprofit organization The American Economic Council. The program featured several experts on finance, investing and free market economics including investment guru James Dines, author and newsletter publisher Howard Ruff,  financial advisor Julian Snyder, Beverly Hills money manager Kenneth Gerbino and others. Joan has also produced a video featuring the renown New Zealand physical therapist Robin McKenzie, developer of the McKenzie Method.


Creator & Producer of PBS Television Program -- Joan is the creator and producer of the award-winning PBS public television program The Legacy of Achievement™. Best-selling author, columnist and speaker Harvey Mackay was a sponsor of the original Legacy of Achievement television program, which was a pledge drive special.  Broadcast on PBS stations nationally, the original program features a number of diverse achievers. extensive location shooting, biographical backgrounds, personal interviews and a summary of the common characteristics of high achievers. An educational version of the program was created and distributed to schools and libraries and a corporate version of the program was distributed to companies throughout the United States. The Legacy of Achievement was featured in Success Magazine and other publications.


ABOUT THE PROGRAM -- The Legacy of Achievement with Dennis Kimbro: A PBS Television Special -- Enduring principles of achievement were the basis for this television special, which featured a dynamic speech by Dr. Dennis Kimbro on principles of achievement, along with Dr. Kimbro's engaging interviews with five highly successful individuals (shot on location in their homes and offices.)

Dr. Dennis Kimbro is the co-author with Napoleon Hill of the bestselling book Think and Grow Rich: A Black Choice, which presents principles of success found in the lives of black achievers. The Legacy of Achievement with Dennis Kimbro crosses race, gender and different backgrounds to present diverse examples of successful individuals, and displays the truly universal principles that underpin all great achievement.
