Mindy Holman
Mindy Holman

Chair of the Board

Melinda “Mindy” Holman represents the third generation of Holman leadership at this family-owned and operated global automotive services company. As Board Chair, Mindy ensures the company continues to uphold the values established by her grandfather, who founded the company in 1924, as well as her father before her. She also steers the Board in setting growth and development strategies that will strengthen the company for generations to come. Mindy joined the Holman organization in 1986 as a management trainee and then served in various capacities in our dealerships, up to and including General Manager, before becoming Vice President of Holman in 1994. She later served as President and then Chief Executive Officer of Holman before becoming the Board Chair in 2015. The Holman organization is especially committed to supporting community organizations, both financially and through personal involvement. In this way also, Mindy leads by example. Her current board affiliations include Moorestown Friends School, and Urban Promise International, where she serves at Chair.

Carl A. Ortell
Carl A. Ortell

Vice Chair of the Board

Carl has been with the Holman organization for more than 36 years.  He was CEO of Holman from 2015 – 2023.  Prior to becoming the CEO of Holman, Carl was the president of the organization’s fleet management division. During his time within that division, he served in multiple operational and financial positions with increasing responsibility, including chief financial officer and chief operating officer prior to becoming president. He was a leader within the industry as well and was long active in many of the industry’s leading professional associations, including NAFA and the American Automotive Leasing Association (AALA). He eventually came to serve as the President of AALA after having served as Vice President of State Government Affairs for the organization. He also served as president and chairman of Global Fleet Services, Inc. (GFS) from 2005 to 2010, a premier alliance of fleet leasing companies founded in 1994 offering comprehensive solutions to businesses worldwide. Carl has a BS in Accounting from LaSalle University. Carl and his wife Kim live in Moorestown, New Jersey.

Chief Executive Officer

Chris’ strategic vision for leveraging Holman’s truly unique core competencies across the company’s diverse collection of automotive-centric businesses is driven by his profound understanding of our customers’ needs and his extensive experience, spanning multiple countries and business units. He joined ARI’s Canadian client services team in 1994 and then went on to serve in a variety of roles in the U.S. and Canada. Chris became senior vice president and chief operating officer of ARI’s Canadian business and then served as president of ARI from 2015 to 2018 where he was the key architect of ARI’s expansion into the European market. Today, Chris provides executive oversight to all of Holman Enterprises’ operating companies who deliver innovative, technology-driven automotive solutions to commercial and consumer segments around the globe. Chris attended the University of Ottawa and the Queen’s School of Business.

Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer

Kathy joined the company in 1991 as General Counsel. Prior to that, she was a partner with the law firm of Whitmore, Kay & Steven in Palo Alto, California. In 2015, she became Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer of Holman Enterprises and is responsible for Holman Enterprises’ corporate, external and legal affairs. Kathy’s role has grown over time to include risk management as well. She received her B.A. from Mt. Holyoke College in 1977 and her J.D. from Santa Clara Law School in 1982.

Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer

Frank joined Holman Automotive in 1981. He was appointed Vice President/General Manager of Saturn of Mount Laurel in 1992, Vice President/General Manager of Saturn of Turnersville in 1993, Saturn of English Creek in 1996, and went on to serve as Vice President/General Manager of Holman Motorcars and Holman Infiniti in 1999. In 2006, he became Vice President of Resource Development for Holman Enterprises.

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Chris started his career with ARI in Canada in June of 2010 as Vice President of Finance. Then in August of 2013 Chris transitioned to Vice President of Finance at Holman Enterprises. Prior to working for ARI he worked for BMW for seven years starting as Treasurer and was quickly promoted to the Director of Tax; after which he was promoted to Corporate Controller. Before working for BMW he worked for three years at General Motors of Canada and four years at KPMG.

Bob White

President of Fleet Operations

Bob joined ARI in 1989 and managed three fleet management services areas before being promoted to director of fleet services in 2001 and then vice president of operations in 2005. He advanced to senior vice president of fleet management services in 2011. From 2013 to 2018, Bob served as executive vice president and chief operating officer, using his vast strategic and operational experience to oversee ARI’s North American vehicle supply chain, licensing and compliance, remarketing, fleet management and call center teams as well as global product management. Appointed president in 2018, Bob leads all of ARI’s global operations. Bob also oversees Holman Insurance Services, Holman’s commercial and consumer insurance division. Bob received a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Albright College.
