Consulting on electromobility and CO2 certificates is currently in particularly high demand. Many customers even see the topic of sustainability as a focal point when tendering. If this trend is compared with other sectors, e.g. real estate and energy supply, it is even more pronounced. Whereas in the past it was really only a question of costs, now the sustainability of products and services count very strongly. Customers are also interested – and this is not a new trend – in how they can optimize the costs of their fleet. What is new, however, is that the pandemic has brought the issue of cost awareness into even sharper focus. Much of what used to be simply accepted in silence is now being put to the test.
But in fleet management consulting and fleet optimization, we rarely analyze just one aspect of a topic. Most of our customers want to be advised holistically. For example, they want us to find potential in the entire fleet, and not just once, but to carry out a fleet analysis at regular intervals, as the underlying conditions often change rapidly. One current example is the delivery times for vehicles, which have just quadrupled for some models. This naturally has a strong impact on the procurement of vehicles.
