Imagine: You are standing at a traffic light when suddenly another vehicle drives into your rear. Damage can occur quickly, which is not only annoying but also often very costly. If you manage an entire fleet of vehicles and must coordinate multiple parties in the event of a claim, things can quickly become complicated. That’s why efficient claims management is crucial: it helps to minimize damage, control costs and optimize operational processes.
This is exactly where Holman comes in to support you. We take care of the complete administrative handling of accident, bodywork and burglary damage, including claims creation, release requests, invoice processing and complaint processing. We control the vehicles in our certified partner network, which means our customers benefit from efficient processes and advantageous conditions.
A practical example from the everyday life of our claims department shows you what advantages our service offers and what financial costs are possible.
A company car driver unfortunately hit a pillar through his own fault, causing significant damage to the side of his vehicle. He decides to drive himself directly to the brand dealer for the repair: a well-considered decision or an impulse act? The workshop’s estimate is €7,250, with the following items listed and invoiced:
- Replace side wall and door
- Color matching of adjacent components
- Shipping costs
Examination of the estimate reveals an excessive hourly billing rate and an inefficient approach to repairs. For this reason, the cost estimate will be rejected, and the claim will be passed on to one of our Holman partners. This decision quickly pays off: instead of completely replacing the side wall and door, they are simply repaired. No further component is painted to match the color and delivery costs are incurred. For the repair costs to be reduced to €4,300, this represents a saving of 41%.
You are probably familiar with a high hourly billing rate and excessive color matching costs as pain points when repairing damage and, as the practical example shows, they can be easily avoided. If you extrapolate the data across your entire fleet, you can save significant costs.
Tip:
It is not always necessary to replace the entire front glass. It is often enough to just repair the damaged areas, if they are not in the driver’s field of vision.
Our comprehensive evaluations, in which we compare claims invoices from various workshops with the conditions of our Holman partners, confirm the savings potential of the practical example.
In 2023, around 4,000 vehicles from a wide range of fleets were analyzed around body and paint damage. and the Holman conditions were compared with the average hourly billing rates of motor vehicle companies. The results clearly show that our customers were able to save an average of €399 per vehicle, which corresponds to a saving of around 22%. While the cost on the open market was around €1,900 per vehicle, the cost at Holman was around €1,500.
The repair volume for glass damage is significantly lower. Almost 1,500 vehicles were compared here; On average, the savings are just under 20%. Average repair costs of €1,400 compared to savings of €290 per vehicle.
