A Decade of Giving Back through The Masterserve Foundation
As the Masterserve Foundation celebrates its 10th anniversary, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the journey so far. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and lose sight of the bigger picture, but 2024 was a record year of giving and reminded us just how far we’ve come!
The Masterserve Foundation is a fantastic example of how Holman and our garage network live out our Driving What’s Right philosophy. Created in 2015 by a passionate group of Holman Masterserve garage members, technicians, and partners, the Foundation was born from the simple idea of being able to give and do more for our local communities.

How it Works
For every job completed by a participating garage, 1% is donated to the Foundation. These contributions add up, and each quarter, the funds are awarded to charities nominated by Foundation members. Holman employees can put forward their own charity nominations, and we match the donations paid by the garages to the Foundation, up to an annual limit of £20,000.
The Foundation focuses on supporting causes related to social aid, development, and healthcare. Many garage owners or garage employees have personal, emotional connections to these charities, having been a part of their own lives or friends and families.
“For many of the smaller charities we support, a single donation from the Foundation can be transformative. These organisations often rely on community events like bake sales or raffles, which require significant effort for relatively modest returns. A Foundation donation can save them months of fundraising work and allow them to focus on delivering their vital services.”
The Impact
To date, The Masterserve Foundation has raised and distributed over £650,000 to charities across the UK. And in 2024 alone, we donated more than £125,000 to 22 incredible charities, including:
- Wiltshire Air Ambulance – providing critical medical care by land and air.
- Firefly – supporting Doncaster cancer patients with free transport to treatment.
- Tidy Butt – a Welsh charity offering mental health support to businesses, schools, and communities.
We also proudly support national charities like Parkinson’s UK, Crisis, and Samaritans, which are close to the hearts of many in our network.
