Key Report Findings

Alongside recognising trusted providers, the FleetWise report offers a clear view of the challenges fleets are navigating today. This year’s findings highlight the growing complexity of fleet management, particularly as organisations balance cost pressures with the transition to lower-emission vehicles.

The key challenges identified include:

• The administrative burden of operating a low-emission fleet – 24%
• The complexity of transitioning to electric vans – 16%
• Difficulty implementing sustainable fleet practices – 13%
• A lack of transparency across fleet operations – 12%
• Managing vehicle data – 10%

In an effort to reduce costs, Nearly half of fleets (47%) are prioritising fuel efficiency and driver behaviour, while 35% are adopting electric vehicles as part of their strategy to reduce long-term costs.

Greater flexibility in how fleets are funded

As more and more fleets introduce electric vehicles into their fleet mix, it’s also changing how fleets think about funding.
The report shows that 88% of EV-operating fleets are now exploring alternative funding approaches, signalling a move towards greater flexibility and more tailored solutions.
More businesses are looking beyond traditional contract hire, mostly because they want greater flexibility in what’s still an uncertain market.
